A Book Fair I Visited
A book fair is an exhibition where different
types of books are displayed and sold.
Nowadays it has become very popular. I
was very lucky to visit the Ekshey Boi Mela
this year. Every year, the fair is held on the
Occasion of 21st February to remind us
the struggle and sacrifice in the language
movement. The fair is organized by Bangla
Academy authority in the premises of the
institution. I went there with some of my
friends. When I entered the main gate of the
fair, found a different environment. I saw all
sorts of books such as fictions, text books,
dramas, children books, reference books etc.
Men, women and children of all ages and
classes gathered there. From a book stall,
I bought some of my favorite books. In the
evening, many poets, novelists and writers
came to visit the fair. It was the first time I
saw some famous writers of our country
took autographs of our country. I took
autographs of Zafar lqbal, Selina Hossain,Nirmulendu Goon and some others. In one
corner of the fair there were some stalls sell-
ing DVDS and some fancy goods. I bought a
DVD of poetry recitation. All these were new
experiences to me because it was my first
visit to the largest book fair of our country. In
the evening I left the fair with my friends with
a mind full of joy and cheerfulness.
